WPFObject considered as a Window when the application has the run mode "RunAs" instead of "Simple" under the TestedApps tab.

Hi,

I'm currently testing my own app with a C#Script on TestComplete 10.20.953.7 and have a trouble about the way TestComplete treats the main window.

When I test it on my account with the run mode "Simple", there is no problem and the main window is considered as a "WPFObject". Though, when I want to use the mode "RunAs" with a Simple tester account, the window is considered as a "Window".

I've tried the script on this post: http://smartbear.com/forums/f81/t74310/incorrect-object-names/ but this didn't help me.

What should I do?

  • Hi Renaud,

I think that TestComplete must be started using the 'As Administrator' option (right-click its shortcut and select the 'Run as administrator' context menu command.

    Does it help?
