Where to ask questions about the forum itself?

There is no forum to allow users to ask about the forums itself, so I'll ask them here:

1.) How to edit posts you have already posted?

2.) How to add email notifications when someone responds to your subscribed threads?

3.) How to change your avatar?

4.) How to change email tied to your forum user account?
  • Hi Stephen,

Have you found how to search through the forums? You just need to use the default site search box at the top of a page.

I would agree with Steve - NNTP support would be great as newsreader is more convenient than web browser.

Also possibility to post a quick question/reply without registration but providing validation code instead (like it is implemented for Comments on the Blog (e.g. http://www.automatedqa.com/blogs/post/09-07-17/automated-test-runs-%e2%80%93-test-batches/)) seem to be useful as well.

    And, sure, search...

  • Hi Alex,

    NNTP

Unfortunately, the software we use does not provide a possibility to access forums via NNTP. We moved from newsgroups to usual forums as later are more convenient for the most of our customers. If you do not want to open the forums web page to check whether there are any new threads or posts, you can subscribe to threads via e-mail or make use the RSS feeds: for every thread, forum, product or all forums.

    Quick post without registration

The necessity to register in order to get access to the forums is a mean to fight spam and to provide users with additional services in future.

Search is working for the forums already.

BTW, now you can specify your signature in your account settings.

It seems since the which from the NNTP based forums that the number of threads has really dropped.

    Is it just me?
