Hi,
As per https://support.smartbear.com/viewarticle/78483/, not more than 2000 VUs can be simulated on single workstation.
I think that exact number of VUs depends on the traffic complexity, required requests parameterization, etc. and should be figured-out for every project.

Thanks Alex,
Any idea what would be the symptoms in situation when hardware on which LoadComplete is running does not cope with the task?
It is mentioned here https://support.smartbear.com/viewarticle/65527/ that simulating a large number of users may cause a system overload and potentially lead to invalid test results.
The question is: how do you tell the difference between errors due to reaching critical load which server under test can handle and errors due to lack of resources for machine on which LoadComplete is running?
Thanks

Hi,
Really good question and, unfortunately, I don't know the exact answer. The best I can recommend is a set of threads starting at https://community.smartbear.com/t5/LoadComplete/LoadComplete-CPU-at-100/td-p/134217.
P.S. I did not explicitly check whether or not the 100% CPU load problem was corrected in the current version 4.61 of LoadComplete.
